Department of Orthodontics - University of Illinois at Chicago is a dentist in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 801 S Paulina St, Chicago, IL 60612, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8:30 amβ4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (312) 996-7555. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dentistry.uic.edu.
Its Google rating stands at 3.0 out of 5 from 14 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Dear UIC College of Dentistry team, I would like to sincerely thank the student and doctor who helped me and provided my dental care. I especially want to express my gratitude to student Nicole Fuentes. She was very attentive, patient, and caring throughout my visit. She explained everything to me step by step, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood the treatment process. She took the time to treat my teeth during one appointment, and I truly appreciate her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to my care. I was also very impressed with the quality of the work Nicole provided. She was very careful, precise, and gentle throughout the treatment. I appreciated the time and attention she gave to every detail. It was clear that she truly cared about doing her best and providing excellent care for me as a patient. I would also like to give special thanks to Dr. Anna Orland. She was extremely attentive and thorough during my examination. She carefully evaluated my dental needs, guided and supported Nicole throughout the treatment, and ensured that everything was done with great care and professionalism. I truly appreciated her kindness, expertise, and the suppor

The beginning of a nightmare! I regret ever coming here. The students were inexperienced! They botched the braces on my daughter's teeth, and two years later, her lips couldn't close properly. It's even worse than before. The students and doctors here are all unethical and incompetent. Even the instructors, who were also young white students, lacked ethics and competence. I came here because my insurance covered it, and I'm writing this review to prevent another victim from becoming like me. I can never undo this mistake. Many private clinics now accept government healthcare. Please find an experienced, licensed doctor to help you. Don't gamble with your life. Don't spend your life in regret. This kind of mistake can never be undone.

I have mostly straight teeth but wanted Invisalign to correct some minor issues. My insurance doesn't cover orthodontic treatments, but I heard that going to a dental school like UIC might be more affordable. That is why I came here for a consultation. Thank GOD I also got a consultation at a regular orthodontic clinic before coming here. UIC quoted me $5,103 and an 18-month treatment plan, not to mention it took me 4 months just to get this initial consultation appointment. The other orthodontist I went to, who isn't part of a dental school, gave me a quote of $4,219 with a treatment time of 6 to 9 months. If you're considering going to UIC College of Dentistry Orthodontic Clinic for cheaper treatment, I urge you to get a consultation at a regular clinic first. You might not save as much money as you expect by coming here, and the treatment could take longer. In my case, the dental school was actually more expensive.

It costs less to get your braces done here, but the work they do isnβt that well, it all depends on who you get.
